Handwork and more thoughts....

....hoping this finds each of you enjoying some jelly beans or little chocolate ears from an Easter basket bunny...

We are still waiting for the arrival of Spring...

And wishing there was something quilty to be shared with you...am anxiously awaiting of this -

flying direct from Australia...Di Ford's book - oh happy day - postage is over the top but this is a very special late birthday treat...handwork of a different nature is happening though - working with beads (photos later!) and paint brushes...

This is the rather basic cupboard that started out with "merlot" paint

- Not!! Ended up fuchsia - Not! And now like a little Basic Black dress....that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Besides it goes with my desk nearby...which is getting a freshening up...first coat of accent paint "pine needle green" on interior shelves.

And...the search for a comfortable MOG outfit continues with online orders being received....and rejected...and reboxed...and returned...

One of my stitching buds, who will remain anonymous, but has frequently been known for her attachment to all things Sock Monkey...has offered this little number as another possibility...

Another friend thinks it might work but I should "lose the red bow"....

And the search continues....

57 days and counting...

Pat

  2. I've asked my LQS to bring in this book for me. I LOVE Di's patterns but have never purchased them. I'm thinking the book will be close to $75 U.S. by the time it lands here. As for your MOG dress, well, this new one does have beige in it! hahahahahaha

  4. I think I've eaten too many chocolate caramel eggs, even if they are little. Love the furniture that's been made over.
The sock monkey dress is hillarious but not for you, you don't want to outshine the bride.
Have to order Di's book now.

  5. I hope spring comes to you soon! It was spring here for a day and now cold again.
Loved seeing the sock monkey dress again.
I'm sure you'll find something almost as good :)

  6. well Pat, you don't want to show up the bride, so I think Sock Monkeys is not the way to go. 57 days! You need to hustle girl. You're making me nervous. Love the black cabinet. reds, merlots I am sure are hard to get just right, but the black is a good choice. Enjoy your belated birthday gift.

  7. Oh my gosh, my grands LOVE sock monkeys. I don't know why. Anyhow, I can't wait to share this with them.

    Love,

  8. Our quick trip to the south (St. Louis) was a breath of spring and now we are back to winter! It truly is discouraging, but the sock monkey dress was good guffaw! As long as we can keep laughing....

Can you get a personal shopper to help? Maybe in Wausau?
