This is my version of Lori's - over at Humble Quilts - Abundance quilt-along. You can get her very nicely put together set of instructions for Part 1 and Part 2.
Thinking maybe a little striped binding.
Thanks Lori for offering this sweet little quilt. Right now the projects going on at Taylorsoutback's sewing room are pretty big and involved and a finish for either one is off in the distance, particularly the Beyond the Cherry Tree quilt. So it gives me a sense of having completed something right now! Well - almost completed but the quilting & binding won't take long.
As for the Cherry Tree quilt - this is where that is....slow going on the handquilting & having been away from holding a between needle for awhile, finding the rhythm takes time.
Making good progress on The Wedding Quilt though but as stated before - no more peeks for now....well - maybe just a tiny peek...30+ blocks done so far.
That's it for now - have a good weekend. Hope your weather is good - we are finally having some much needed snow but the days leading up to it have been really cold with temperatures at night well below zero.

Love the little quilt!
ReplyDeleteWe are getting much needed RAIN here, thank goodness as it has been so very HOT and HUMID. The bush around our home was so dry but suddenly it's greening up and growing before our very eyes!
I'm popping over to check out those instructions for the little quilt.....
Happy Sewing!
Your quilt along is great! love the blue center star, great contrast.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I machine piece which is fun but your work is wondeful, especially the handwork.
ReplyDeleteSo much fun seeing everyone's versions! Love your fabric choices.
ReplyDeleteAbundance is so sweet!! Fun to be working on your btct quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love your fabric choices for the little quilt from Lori's sew-along!
ReplyDeleteMy oh my... such pretty hand quilting stitches on your BTCT's quilt! This will be such a family treasure!
Love your fabric choices for the quiltalong. It is nice to have a quick finish.
ReplyDeleteYour hand quilting is beautiful! Even your basting stitches are small. Maybe that's why I have a problem with shifting - my basting stitches are too big. Will have to remember that. Thanks.
Another favorite Abundance block! Great combination of fabrics!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lot of work on the Cherry Tree Quilt - you have an enormous amount of patience! I like the little quilt and can imagine how pretty it would be with a striped binding.
ReplyDeleteYour hand quilting is beautiful. Love the colors on your little quilt too.
ReplyDeleteI love your little Abundance quilt! I have also enjoyed time reading through your blog. I grew up in Rhinelander which must not be too far from you.
ReplyDeleteThe Cherry Tree quilt is absolutely gorgeous; I hope you will show more of it as you go along.
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE AMAZING!!!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Sharon
